Sa. Rang is an artist-run organization established and operated by and for individuals of all genders and gender identities, the LGBTQIA+ community, and individuals with disabilities.

To celebrate the vibrancy of cultures through the arts by promoting collaborative work and facilitating conversations on social justice. We are committed to aligning our thoughts, behaviour, and actions with our core values of empathy and compassion, creating spaces for personal artistic expression, communal reflection, and collaboration with individuals who advocate for a just and equitable society.

Anita Vallabh

Dr. Anita Vallabh

Creative Director

Anita Vallabh is a dancer, critic / commentator, author, affiliate faculty at the University of Hawaii and a visiting research professor at the Dr. M.G.R. Janaki College of Arts and Science for Women, Chennai. She is a widely travelled bharatanatyam dancer trained under the Dhananjayans, with thirty five years of performing and teaching experience.

Aman K. Batra

Producer and Artistic Director

Aman K. Batra is a Punjabi-American poet, educator and community organizer from Artesia, CA. She is a TEDx speaker, national poetry slam finalist and an MFA graduate in poetry from Antioch university. Her works have been featured in the Los Angeles Times, All Def Poetry, Button Poetry, The Huffington Post and The Fight Evil with Poetry Anthology.

A choreographer, community builder, a Fulbright scholar and specialist, an Arts Envoy of the Dept. of State and a speaker for African Regional Services, Wendy incorporates elements of performance art, theater, installation, and her foundational movement practices of Bharata Natyam, Capoeira, Kalaripayattu and Butoh in her works namely The Women Gather (2022), Conference of the Birds (2018), Entangling (2015), The Deep (2015), Lilith (2013), The Knocking Within (2012), Forest (2010), and He Who Burns (2006).
